According to a new report from BabyCenter, released on eMarketer, more and more moms are managing the household while on the go. Busy moms equals more connected moms, and smartphones are providing the convenience and technology moms need to keep organized.
6 in 10 moms have a smartphone
Research shows that nearly 6 in 10 moms have a smartphone, compared to 50% of all internet users. In 2009 22% of moms used the mobile internet regularly, today that number is up to 62%.
Moms are using smartphones differently than the general population
Moms mobile usage is distinctively different from others. Games, social media, health information are more likely to be used by moms while apps such as maps, productivity, and finance are much less likely to play a significant role in moms mobile usage. It seems that the types of apps moms are sticking to are those that help them take care of and stay connected with their families.
