The CMO’s guide to the social media landscape (Infographic)

This great infographic, recently published on CMO.com, provides insight into how specific social media sites can work towards main digital goals. According to CMO.com, the best tools are broken down into the following four categories:

  1. Customer communication: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr
  2. Brand Exposure: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Digg, Tumblr
  3. Traffic to site: Digg, StumbleUpon
  4. SEO: Flickr, YouTube, Digg, StumbleUpon, Tumblr

It’s interesting to see that Tumblr & YouTube are the only of the 6 that make 3 of 4 lists. Facebook and Twitter seem to do little for site traffic but are kings when it comes to communication and branding.
