According to a recent report by Hubspot on The State of Inbound Marketing, the more blog posts you have, the more inbound leads your blog will generate for your business.
Why do blogs work so well?
Blogging works so well for 3 simple reasons:
- SEO – The more you blog on a specific topic, the more pages Google indexes on your site. The more pages you have indexed, the higher you rank in searches for your topic.
- Exposure – As your blog grows and you release quality content, other bloggers and influential individuals in social media will retweet and reblog your content, thus exposing you to new audiences.
- Become a Leader – If you have thoughtful content, readers will notice. The more you show your expertise in a related industry the more you will be seen as a leader and a trusted reliable option.
How many posts do I need?
According to the study, the number of inbound leads you could anticipate seeing is directly dependent upon the number of articles on your blog. The minimum number of posts you need is right around 20. Once you pass that threshold, you will begin to see an exponential increase in leads generated.
On average, companies with 24 – 51 posts saw about 13 inbound leads per month, where those with 52+ posts saw about 23 inbound leads per month. So the more posts, the better. However, remember that quality is just as important as quantity when it comes to blogging.
