A recent survey was done by Omniture and published on Clickz.com that answers the question of ‘Which social network is most important for marketers?’
In the survey, 600 marketers were surveyed and 69% claimed social media was important to them (hard to believe that almost 1 in 3 marketers are still not placing emphasis on social media). Of those, they were asked to rank which social networks were most important to them and the results can be seen in the chart below:
As you can see, coming in at first was Facebook (no surprise there). Actually 88% of respondents had Facebook first or second, which makes sense. Blogs were a distant second at 40% most important and Twitter was down in Digg/Myspace territory.
Do you think these would be the anticipated results when it comes to B2C marketing? Are they aligned with your social media marketing priorities?
How would these results differ if we were discussing B2B? Would Facebook still hold the top spot or could Twitter become number 1? What about LinkedIn?

*An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
