Socialnomics author Erik Qualman released some great new stats today on the socialnomics blog. The stats in video (and text) form give us a refresh of the original Social Media Revolution stats. As social media continues to move at such a rapid pace, it only makes it clearer that business needs to embrace the change and learn how to utilize social media.
A few tidbits from the video:
- If Facebook were a country, it would be topped in population by only China and India
- Over 50% of the World’s population is under 30 years old, and 96% of them have joined a social network
- 80% of companies use social media for recruitment; % of these using LinkedIn 95%
